Privacy notice
This notice describes the website operated by Damaso Sanoja and the services used to receive project inquiries.
Project inquiries
The Contact form asks for your name, email address, and project message. Company or website and project type are optional. These details are used to review your inquiry and respond to you. Please include only information needed to discuss the project, and avoid sending passwords or sensitive personal information.
When collection is enabled on the hosted website, Netlify Forms processes submissions and stores them in its private submissions dashboard. A private email notification is configured for the site owner, so inquiry details may also be held in email. A confirmation page alone does not establish that an email notification was delivered.
The local staging form is a preview and does not send messages.
Hosting and spam protection
The published website is hosted by Netlify. Your browser connects to Netlify to request pages and assets. Hosting requests involve technical information such as your IP address and requested URL. See Netlify’s privacy notice for its information about processing.
Netlify Forms uses spam filtering, including Akismet. The Contact form also uses a hidden honeypot field and Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent automated abuse. When the live verification runs, your browser connects to Google. reCAPTCHA processes information for security, fraud, and abuse prevention and sets a cookie called _GRECAPTCHA for risk analysis. The local preview displays a placeholder instead of loading the verification widget.
Read more about Netlify’s form spam filters and Google’s reCAPTCHA data processing.
Fonts and external links
This website uses locally hosted Geist fonts for its main page designs. Its shared theme also requests fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, Google receives your IP address to return the files. See Google Fonts’ privacy explanation.
Portfolio and other links may take you to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Retention and privacy requests
For an inquiry that does not become a client engagement, I delete the inquiry from Netlify Forms and the related email correspondence within 12 months of our last meaningful contact, once the inquiry is closed. I retain active inquiries while they are needed to respond or discuss the work.
Client contracts, invoices and records that must be retained for applicable obligations are handled separately from this inquiry schedule. Information required for those obligations may be retained for the relevant period.
You can use the Contact form to request access to, correction of or deletion of your inquiry information. I may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some records may need to be retained where required by applicable obligations. Backup copies are governed by the relevant providers’ retention and recovery processes.
Analytics
On the production website, Google Analytics helps me understand which pages visitors use. It is optional: Google’s analytics script loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Choosing Reject analytics does not prevent you from browsing or contacting me. Local staging and hosted review previews do not send analytics data to Google.
If you allow analytics, Google processes information about your visit, including page views, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. Your browser connects to Google, which also receives technical information such as your IP address. The site’s page-view configuration removes query strings and URL fragments from page addresses and referring addresses. Analytics is not loaded on the Contact form or confirmation page, and the site does not send inquiry fields or count a confirmation-page visit as a successful inquiry.
The site’s integration disables advertising personalization and Google signals. Enhanced measurement is switched off, so this integration does not use automatic scroll, outbound-click or form-interaction tracking. Received events will be verified as part of launch checks. Read Google’s privacy policy for information about Google’s processing.
Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are also configured to expire after up to 180 days without extending their expiry on each visit. These browser storage periods are separate from the inquiry retention period above and Google’s retention of data already received.
Use Cookie settings to change your choice. Rejecting analytics after previously allowing it stops collection by this site’s integration, clears its accessible analytics cookies and reloads the page. It does not erase information already received by Google. Clearing browser storage or using another browser may require a new choice. If this browser cannot save a choice, analytics remains off.
